Marc Scott Zicree

Marc Scott Zicree has over 100 script sales to his name, including credits on STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION, SLIDERS, DEEP SPACE NINE and BABYLON 5, plus multiple pilots for NBC, ABC and Showtime.  He has written for virtually every major studio and network, has been nominated for the Humanitas Prize, Diane Thomas Award and American Book Award, and has won the prestigious Hamptons Prize.  Zicree served as Executive Producer on REAL STORY, a pilot presentation he wrote and executive produced in association with OZ's Tom Fontana, starring BUFFY's Armin Shimerman.  In addition, Zicree has served on staff on four series: as Producer on SLIDERS; Co-Producer on LAZARUS MAN; Executive Story Editor on BEYOND REALITY; and Story Editor on FRIDAY THE 13TH THE SERIES.  His screenplay work has included stints for New Line, MGM, Orion and the Jim Henson Company.  Zicree was also a commentator for three years on NPR's MORNING EDITION, and is well-known as the author of the best-selling TWILIGHT ZONE COMPANION (named in 2006 by the New York Times as one of ten "science fiction books for the ages").  As a media expert, he has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV shows, including AMERICAN MASTERS, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, COAST TO COAST, WEEKEND EDITION, BIOGRAPHY, ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, E! TRUE HOLLYWOOD STORY, BBC and THE TODAY SHOW.  Zicree's novel MAGIC TIME was named one of Barnes and Noble's Best Books of the Year.  Its sequel MAGIC TIME ANGELFIRE got a five-star rating from and rave reviews from PUBLISHERS WEEKLY and BOOKLIST.  His third book in the series, MAGIC TIME GHOSTLANDS, which was released in hardcover from HarperCollins and Blackstone Audio, hit the L.A. Times Bestseller List, making Zicree a bestselling author both in the fiction and non-fiction categories.  Zicree has had recent TV series development deals with Fox and Universal and has just completed co-writing, directing and executive producing a new STAR TREK episode starring George Takei.
